The Social Business Trust partners with Jamie’s Farm

We are thrilled to announce that The Social Business Trust (SBT) has welcomed Jamie’s Farm into our portfolio of charities and social enterprises.

Jamie’s Farm’s transformational programme supports children at risk of social and academic exclusion to thrive during their school years and beyond. Their programme sees small groups of young people immersed into farm life during a week-long residential, tackling real jobs with tangible outcomes within a supportive family environment.

Over the next four years, with the support of our corporate partners, we will help the charity to implement their growth plan, launch new farms and the new Cultivating Change programme, all of which will help them reach more young people than ever before.

At SBT, we build long-term, trust-based partnerships, where we align ourselves to the ambitions of the organisations we support. We have seen the impact that Jamie’s Farm has had on so many young people and look forward to helping them grow and transform more lives through their unique programme.

Joanne Hay, CEO, Social Business Trust commented:

“Jake, Jamie and the team have created a truly transformative programme for young people at risk of exclusion. We are delighted to collaborate with Jamie’s Farm as they expand their reach, positively transforming the lives of even more children in the UK.”

Jake Curtis, Co-CEO, Jamie’s Farm commented:

“We are delighted to have the privilege of being within SBT’s portfolio of partner charities. We love the way they operate: they are respectful of the respective expertise of charities and businesses, and they are highly effective at facilitating ways in which both can offer mutual support. We know that through this partnership, we will be far more likely to achieve against the ambitious and exciting objectives we have set ourselves on behalf of the beneficiaries we serve. On top of this, on a personal level, they are simply a joy to work with.”

Peter Jackson, SBT Investment Director and Partner, Bain commented:

“Jamie’s Farm has a truly unique approach to permanently transforming the lives of young people at risk of exclusion. Over the last 18 months or so it’s been a pleasure to work with Jake, Jamie and SBT to pave the way for a formal partnership about which both parties are excited.  We look forward to supporting Jamie’s Farm through this next chapter of growth and development.”
